ART Apartments is part of the nationwide certification system Cyklisté vítáni (Cyclists Welcome), which includes accommodation and catering facilities as well as tourist destinations offering quality services for cyclists. From the very beginning, we have offered perfect facilities for cycling enthusiasts. For cyclists, there is a lockable bike storage room monitored by a camera system. We also provide a service station with basic tools, bike washing facilities, and e-bike charging. Thanks to our successful certification, you can find ART Apartments in all partner information sources of the Cyklisté vítáni project. Dvůr Králové is located on the route of the long-distance Elbe Trail, which begins at the source of the Elbe in the Krkonoše Mountains and, after almost 1200 kilometers, ends in Cuxhaven, Germany. Following the marked trail, you will reach Kuks, eight kilometers away, where you can connect to one of the longest asphalt sections of the Elbe Cycle Path in our country. It measures 26 kilometers and leads all the way to Hradec Králové. You can easily manage this pleasant ride even with small children. The surroundings of Dvůr Králové are perfectly suited for short spins as well as full-day marathons, both on mountain and road bikes. Local experts highly recommend the forest trails below Zvičina, near Čertovy kameny, between Kocbeře, Kohoutov and Choustníkovo Hradiště, or the dense network of trails above the Les Království dam. Our Information Center on Švehlova Street will be delighted to advise you on cycling trips of various difficulties, tailored precisely to your wishes. Ride along the newly paved road to the Les Království dam, see the windmill in Horní Brusnice, hike up Zvičina, taste the traditional 'modlitbičky' in Miletín, continue to the town of stone beauty Hořice, or go check out the giants at the town hall in Hostinné. There's an abundance of possibilities.

Trails

For fans of off-road cycling in Dvůr Králové nad Labem, there are dedicated off-road trails – the Blue and Red trails – which were created in the forest in the area above the city hospital. Both trails are over a kilometer long, and their color indicates their difficulty, similar to ski slopes. The trails are built as singletracks, which are approximately meter-wide one-way tracks for mountain bikes that respect and utilize the terrain without disturbing the character of the forest. Neighboring towns also have much to offer cyclists. Already a renowned feature is the extensive network of over 30 kilometers of one-way off-road trails for mountain bikes near Čížkovy kameny behind Trutnov. There are several routes of varying difficulties, and a first-class experience is the new Floutek trail (detailed info at: www.trutnovtrails.cz).
